"I struggled with knee pain for 30 years and I was not able ot get out of bed at one time. After learning the Feldenkrais Method, I realised what I was doing that caused the pains. I now know how to explore new movement patterns and make life easier!"
- Shook Sin
"Because I love running, I always believed that muscle tightness is just something I have to live with. Since beginning classes with Fiona, she has shown me that I don’t have to live with muscle tightness and pain. Fiona has taught me how to stretch effectively with no pain and improve my flexibility and even running form. "
- K.Koh
"It took just two sessions with Sa Chien to stabilise my gait. I felt fluidity of movement, the jaw and neck tension was eased.
With 1 or 2 full body movements and a lot of rest is a typical session. All is needed is clarity of breath and authenticity to self. LESS is Truly More. Allow your body to be your guide."
- Lynette Seck
"I started with Fiona for Pilates. At the time I had some injuries, during our practice whenever I started to feel sensations from my injury, she would take the time showing me ways to calm down the flare ups through movements and it felt amazing how the pain would really decrease so quickly.
So pretty soon, at my request we moved away from Pilates to the Feldenkrais work in order to help with my injury. it’s very empowering to go through an experience seeing the pain improve drastically without having to take medication or just live with the it.
I learned a lot injuries are about the patterns how we use our bodies and how weights are carried out on unevenly on different body parts. Most importantly, I learnt that we can do something about this ourselves, which is a very empowering thing without having to accept that if you have injury you just have to live with the pain until you may or may not eventually heal.
Each session felt like a mini meditation with her. Moving my body slowly and gently, giving it space and trust that it can accomplish the movements, which otherwise would have been thought possible due to my injuries, this is a very precious and valuable knowledge. Through moving my body I learnt going slow, allowing space and trust the process also translates to valuable insights for life.
It is a pleasure to work with Fiona and I very much appreciate it - it feels like a gift :)"

What they previously thought was impossible became possible.

Harper Liew, Differently-abled child
Harper was born with movement difficulties. When Sa Chien first started working with Harper, she was 14 months old. She suffered from spasms and seizures as a baby and often choked. she had difficulties lifting her head.
In addition, Sa Chien also taught her mother how to work with Harper to support her. This in the long-term was effective and Harper gained more awareness of her body as she created new mind-body connections.
Through supporting Harper and her mother over the years, Sa Chien has facilitated Harper's learning abilities and has created possibiities for Harper.
The Feldenkrais approach utilizes neuroplasticity and positive brain change to create mind-body connections, leading to breakthroughs in movement, thinking, self-organisation and self-regulation and connection with the environment.
Tan Fong Eng, Stroke Survivor
Mr Tan had trouble walking after suffering a stroke. Within 5 weeks with Sa Chien at the hospital and at his residences, he was able to take a bus to Ang Mo Kio Hub by himself without assistance.
Starting with what Mr Tan could do, Sa Chien started with gentle movements of his head, shoulders, fingers and toes. By stimulating his fingers, he could begin feeling more and sensing more of himself.
By creating new connections in his brain through mind-body movements, Mr Tan discovered new ways of moving and thinking.
After only a few sessions with Sa Chien at Functional Integration Centre, he was able to experience a new sense of freedom in movement and found himself doing the things he previously wasn't able to do.
