| Ingredients and Formulation
Fruits in Ice Cream™ uses only carefully selected premium quality
dairy and tropical fruit ingredients. Our product contains very high
quantities of natural fruit giving our ice cream a distinct and
refreshingly fruity character. These fruit ingredients come in the
form of fruit purees, diced mangoes, fruit preserves, fruit sauces,
thick ube puree, etc. Fruits in Ice Cream™ cream base is prepared
from highest quality milk powder and milk fat. |
Per international standards, only products containing 100% milk-derived fat can be called ICE CREAM. Bottom line pressures, however, make some manufacturers incorporate vegetable fats and oils as replacements for milk fat. Unlike other "ice creams", FIC contains natural milk ingredients from the world's better suppliers; New Zealand and Australia. Thus, FIC is perceived to be more creamy and richer in texture and flavor by its consumers and even first time tasters. |
| Processing Method

Ice cream is a very complicated and sensitive product. The
processing treatment that it undergoes is comprised of several
steps, each critical and impacts directly on the quality attributes
of the finished product. A most critical step is FREEZING. Ice cream
undergoes continuous freezing process. This needs to be a very quick
process. The faster the freezer occurs, the finer the ice cream
crystal tends to be. This results in a very smooth and fine textured
finished product. TFPI's process and equipment enable extremely
rapid freezing rates…yielding a very fine, velvety-smooth ice cream
treat. |
International Standards
The
Food People, Inc. takes pride in having its Fruits in Ice Cream™
as being the ONLY Philippine ice cream legitimately exported and
accepted by the Ministry of Health in JAPAN. The Food and Drug
Administration of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (more popularly known
as US FDA) has similarly given approval for FIC's export to the U.S.
In its short existence, Fruits in Ice Cream™ products have been
received in JAPAN and the US with extremely encouraging feedback on
taste and quality. FIC's Ube, Mango, Halo-Halo and Macapuno ice
creams have all been rated winners vis-à-vis the traditional
Philippine brands not only by discriminating Filipino but also by
Japanese and American mainstream consumers.
